Wow I don't do this as often as I should :)

Ok I admit that I am horrible at keeping this site updated :) The past months have been very busy to say the least. We have continued working on the house and are slowing taking things off the list. Home ownership is a lot of fun but a lot of work. I have finished painting half of the house and soon to finish the other half (now that we picked out colors!!!). I'm going to sum up that last few months of the key events.

January, February and March

Everyone knows how much I like to plan so I took this time to really work on Brittany's bridal shower and bachelorette party! I wanted to do a lot of things myself like making the food, favors and invitations. I'm that crafty dork and I really enjoyed it. Don't worry I did other things than plan. We painted the office which some of you might know it was a yellowish color on the walls and midnight blue ceiling :/ it only took 4 coats on the ceiling (which really hurts the arms) but it is done and it looks great!

Gabriel turned 2! We celebrated his birthday at Nicky and Chad's with family and friends. He has grown up sooo much. The first birthday tends to be for the adults because they are too young to understand but this birthday you could tell he was all into it. He loved to open the gifts and eat his cake.

April

We had two weddings to go to this month and unfortunately they were the same day, so.... I went to Brittany and Jesse's in Destin and Andrew went to Dan and Sara's in Fort Myers. I drove up Wednesday before the wedding because all the wedding events were the days just before. We had vendor meetings and finalizing to do Thursday and then Thursday night was the bachelorette party! It was a fun late night, the bars up there don't close till 4 am, which is a big change from our 2 am. We had some sleep and then woke up for the bridal shower. After the shower we decorated the church and then had the rehearsal. The next day was the big day and Brittany looked beautiful. Her and Jesse had been together a very long time so this day was long awaited for. The day was perfect you couldn't have asked for better weather. I gave my matron of honor speech and I wish I could say I didn't cry. The next day we all packed up and went home and I wish I could have stayed. Destin was a great city and I hope to get back there some day. Even though Andrew wasn't there with me, Brittany's family made me feel right at home.

I wish we could have done both but it happens it's wedding season! I heard Andrew was a great representation of us, helping Dan and Sara with behind the scenes things. We know how much work a wedding is so we are always willing to help in any way we can. During the reception Andrew was sending me pictures of Dan and Sara so I could be apart of there day even though I couldn't be there. Isn't he the best! Dan and Sara's wedding was beautiful as well and we wish both couples the best in their new lives as husband and wife!

May

We celebrated mother's day here at our house. The summer events tend to go toward our house because of the pool. We love it because we don't use the pool all that often and we love to entertain. My mom loves pictures so one morning we got all the grand kids together and went to the beach for a photo shoot. The pictures turned out great and I hope to do it more often because they grow up so fast.

June

Our 2nd Anniversary and our 1st year in our house! We moved into our house the weekend of our 1st anniversary so it not only marks our marriage but when we bought our first home. We had a lot going on and upcoming so we are planning a vacation later in the year. I can't believe it has already been two years. This September we will have been together for 10 years!!! Crazy I know :)

We also celebrated Father's Day and Jordan's Birthday here at our house and had a great time. Swimming, food and family! Our dogs like our pool they won't just jump in but they will float around. They love playing with the kids in the pool even if they are on the deck. Sometimes they will get in and swim with them but others they are just hanging out watching and having a good time.

July

July 4th we celebrated Chris and Allison's wedding in Philadelphia. We flew up a few days early and were able to walk around the city and try cheese steaks at almost every place we could! It was a great time and we really enjoyed being able to spend time with family that we don't see all that often. I got back home and didn't know what to do in a car, we walked everywhere. The nights I needed to wear heals I had flip flops in my purse :) People in the city have a great work out. It was an experience to see the city life, what a difference from Satellite Beach.

The following weekend we planned a trip to Jacksonville to see Dan and Sara. We drove up Friday and had a pit stop in Saint Augustine to shop at the outlets :) I didn't even ask Andrew just pulled off the highway (I told you he is the best). We finished the drive which was only around 30 mins and went out to dinner with Dan Sara and their friends. Saturday Sara and I took the dogs to a craft fair, which they have every Saturday I am very jealous. We walked around found a few things and met up with friends for lunch. Dan and Andrew were out doing manly things and met up with us later. After the guys came to find us we went to their friends condo and spent the night socializing on the rooftop deck. To finish the trip we all drove down to Saint Augustine to walk around the shops, have lunch and go to the winery. It was a great weekend and we had two amazing hosts that had the weekend all planned out to show us a good time. On our way home we stopped in to see Brittany and Jesse in Palm Coast, we had dinner socialized and then had to get back on the road to go home. The dogs had a great time too, they were sooooo tired from the trip they slept the whole ride home!

The following weekend Angela my college roommate in Orlando came to visit. She was in Daytona on work and came in for the weekend to see us. We haven't seen her since Laurie's wedding a year ago! I was so glad she was able to come this way, she lives in Pensacola and we rarely get to see each other anymore. We can't wait to see her again.

We also celebrated my mom's birthday this past week. On Thursday we took the day off and went to Wet 'N' Wild in Orlando. We had three cars, 5 adults and 6 kids. Gabriel and Christian spent their time in the toddler area and the other kids are now tall enough to go on all the rides. They'll even go on rides I wouldn't do unless you paid me! We were there when they opened and the day just flew. We had a long day in the sun, fortunately no-one went home a lobster (which is normally me). Wet 'N' Wild was a place my parents would take us every summer and now it's the grand kids.

July has been pretty busy for us so far and we've enjoyed every minute of it. If our lives weren't sooo busy it wouldn't be us!

Sorry I don't update this thing as much as I should. I know a lot of people have been waiting for new posts. I'll try to be better but no promises:)

Here are a few pictures I thought were cute:

Sounds like an eventful summer so far! I am sad you guys were so close to us (visiting Dan & Sara in Jax) and we didn't even know!!... Glad to hear things are going well. We have a baby shower planned in August and hope you guys can make it. Invites should be going out next week! :)
