It's a......

At our last doctors appointment at 18 weeks the doctor had asked us if we were going to find out the sex of the baby and if we were setting up an ultrasound at 20 weeks to find out (20 weeks is the earliest our doctors will tell you at). Well I responded back saying I was hoping to find out today but the doctor at our 14 week appointment wouldn't set one up this early. He responded back saying yes 20 weeks is the earliest you can and I said well Andrew is going to be out of town for the next month. He looked at Andrew and said you won't be here? He then said well daddy has to be here so I'm going to get you in today, would you like to find out today? Andrew looked at him and told him how impatient I was and yes we would like to find out today. I was all smiles, sitting there waiting to find out if they could squeeze me in right then was killing me!
As we watched the ultrasound tech look for the best view my heart was pounding. Andrew was holding my hand and she said it is early and there is a chance that it might be too early to tell would you still like me to tell you what I think you are having? We were like yes! She said everything looked good so far and that we were having a little girl! Andrew and I were trying to figure out what was what on the screen before she said anything, we both had an idea it was but still wanted her to say it :)
Our thought going into this appointment was with the scheduled appointment timings and Andrew being out of town we would find out at 22 weeks and right before the Liby Family Cruise sooo we were going to announce it then. Well that isn't till the end of the month so we knew we had to come up with another idea because there was no way we could keep it in that long :) So we said Mother's Day is coming up why not do it then. We were able to keep it in for a week and a half and surprise our mom's yesterday.
We decided to buy girl things for the mom's to keep at their houses. I wrapped girl blankets, pacifiers and clothes. They both opened them at the same time and my mom said it's all pink, Debbie then asked do you know if it's a girl? It was great to see their reactions that they were going to have a little granddaughter :) I had a lot of fun with the clothes because I found really cute iron-ons and made onesies with pink footprints and hand prints on them. Debbie got a pirate princess with a sparkle skull and cross bones which is perfect for the Liby house :) I had a lot of fun making them and I'm sure it's only the start.
Everyone has been on me about when we were going to find out and I know I had everyone thinking not till the end of May and I know I didn't necessarily tell the truth, I'm sorry but it was well worth keeping it a secret :) During our week and a half it was soo sweet to only have us in on the secret. Andrew would come home from work and give me a kiss and say we're having a little girl! It was so special to spend that time with each other and having that secret but in the same turn it was soo great to share the news with everyone! I definitely couldn't have waited much longer :)
It was so nice to have everyone over for lunch and share the exciting news on my Mother (to-be) Day :) We are so thankful for our families and especially our Moms who have done so much for us. We look forward to our future parenting, if we we are anything like them I think we will do ok :)
We hope every mother had an amazing day, it really is a special day to celebrate moms and everything they do!

Belly Pictures

I am currently 19 weeks and feeling great! I had a doctors appointment last week and I gained 4 pounds! I get weekly updates of the size of the baby and last week it was a Sweet Potato. When I told Andrew he said Sweet Tater Tot! This week the baby is the size of a mango :)

We were up in Gainesville this past weekend for Pat and Kari's graduation. I have to say this and I know I'm not his mom but.... I remember picking him up after school from 6th grade so he didn't have to walk home and now he is graduating from college!!! I'm feeling older the more I talk about it. Allison is married, Pat graduated from college and we are having a baby! Oh my where did the time go? We had a great time celebrating this weekend with them and the families! We also celebrated Debbie's birthday, it was a busy busy weekend!

On top of the graduations and birthday party we were able to see friends from school that still live up there! Dave, Dani and their little one Cori (who is sooooo good) and we can't forget Maverick :) It was great to finally meet Miss Cori she truly is a great baby. We also stayed with Tyler (thank you again) where our crazy schedules only let us see each other very briefly but it was still great to hang out and catch up on life.

So here they are finally.... belly pictures. There isn't too much yet but don't worry it's coming! I hope everyone enjoys the bump pictures there will be more in the future!
